SINGER "ROCKETEER" 500A Up for auction, we have a well sought after SINGER 500-A Slant-o-Matic Sewing Machine. Sometimes referred to as "The Rocketeer" because of it's 50's space-craft looking lines & features. This dates from around 1961, where it was manufactured in Anderson, South Carolina. Back when they made quality and still used metal!! This sewing machine can perform many patterns of straight & zig-zag stitches. Powerful motor as well. We were able to sew through 7 layers of naugahyde! This comes with power cord, pedal, and many accessories & feet (see pics below). 6 different cams are also included. Add these discs to the pre-set special stitches, and this performs over 30 different styles of stitching! Original owner's manual included. This even comes with the original, folding top sewing table! CONDITION: This machine is NICE!!! It has just been serviced with new lube & oil. Timing has been checked & the rubber on the bobbin winder has been replaced. THIS SEWS PERFECTLY! Cosmetically, it is also near perfect. Only one very small ding in the body (close-up picture below) keep this from being in MINT condition. This machine is VERY NICE. We rate it a 9 out of 10! The wood cabinet, however, has quite a bit of marks & dings. Although still nice, it is not in the excellent condition that the machine itself is in.
