This is a BEAUTIFUL Bernina 1230 in pristine condition! As a sewing instructor for more than 30 years I can honestly say the Bernina 1230 sews better than any new Bernina I have at school today. This is my own personal machine and has never been touched by anyone other than myself and a Bernina technician for a recent servicing. The stitch performance is straight, smooth, consistent with outstanding tension. On a scale from 1 to 10 the performance on this machine is a solid TEN. There are 34 built in stitches with numerous stitches desired by quilters. I've stitched out a few on the fabric sample along with a button hole. The buttonhole beading is perfectly balanced on both sides! (Here's a neat tip when sewing the button hole simply apply the twin needle button on lower right of machine and the bead width is narrower which is beautiful ! ) There are NO scratches, chips or rust anywhere. The thread path down to the needle is like new no thread staining at all ! This machine has only been sewn on a few times. (That's because I own toooo many machines I'm spoiled! ) This machine is from a smoke free environment. You absolutely will not be disappointed with this beauty. This is a rare find. The machine weighs approximately 45 pounds so you can estimate shipping charges. Shipping charges are responsibility of the buyer. Please make sure you factor in appropriate insurance coverage for a machine of this value. I will make sure this machine is DOUBLE BOXED for safety.
