This is the electronic version of the Record 830 which means that it is faster and smoother with slightly more power than the regular Bernina Record 830 machines. This is a quilting dream machine because the Bernina 830 is not only considered one of the very best machines Bernina has ever made, it is also small enough to comfortably bring it back and forth to quilting classes. It also offers the coveted 4.4mm smaller feed dog that makes quilting a delightful experience because the smaller feed dogs and feet allow greater maneuverability. This machine features endless variability with stitches and stitch combinations and for a person who wants complete control and tiny almost invisible stitches, there is no machine that compares. This machine is the nicest Bernina 830 we have ever seen (and we have seen many over the years) and has perfect stitches, sounds silky smooth, and is truly a collector’s item. Though this is a mechanical machine, the extra power of being electronic gives this machine a steadiness and solidity that is unparalleled in the Bernina Record machines. This is also a wonderful machine for piecing quilts due to the ability to create tiny seams, this machine can sew not only a scant 1/4-inch seam with ease, but also a 1/8th seam because of the size of the feed dogs. And for sewing clothes, especially baby clothes, nothing compares! This machine was purchased then stored and over the years it was only treasured and very rarely, if ever, used by the one owner of this machine - just look at the finish on this machine and you see that is can be justifiably called immaculate. The machine motor is quiet and strong to match. You can see that the red carrying case is in immaculate condition with both latches intact and working. Also, this machine features the upgraded black foot pedal that is bigger and more responsive than the older types that do not come on the electronic version of this machine. Included also is the free arm pedal box and original red accessory box. Also, including the Cut-N-Sew foot AND a walking foot! You can see by the photographs of the inside of the machine motor housing that it is shiny bright metal, sparkling clean, and is very clean and looks pristine also. The authentic 830 metal slide-on sewing table is 100% perfect with not a single nick, scratch, ding, or blemish! The only discoloration on this machine is a slight darkening on the plastic tension dial and that is all and it is very slight. This machine is a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being best. Wonderful for a beginner, a collector, a quilter, or someone who requires a dependable sewing machine and will hold its value over the years! This Bernina 830 is one that you will not find often as it has no discoloration on the rear motor housing which is extremely rare and shows that this machine was not run hard or hot.
